August 17: One of Those Kinds of Days

I would love to say that I am immune to days when everything seems to be off, but today we seemed to have more than our share of "Why us?" moments.  We started the day having breakfast with Jon's family to help start off Bryson's half-birthday and Anna's 1st birthday.  We parted ways after breakfast, and we ran a couple of errands.  Unfortunately Jon and Aleah seemed to have been attached by what they ate.  That cancelled the birthday plans, but we still picked up Zoe and Henry and went to a McDonald's playground for some fun.  Afterwards, we when to Jamie's and put the kids down for naps and waited for Jamie.  Since we had already told Zoe we were going to the Imaginarium, we took them and spent 1 1/2 hours exploring.  Not certain they took in all the learning being presented, but there were tons of knobs and buttons to move. When we got back to Jamie's we made a call that really frustrated us, but we will move on.  Just hate that it makes me feels so irritated!
The final negative may or may not be expensive, but we will not know until morning.  We went to Jon's intending to pack up the truck and trailer and head down the road toward the next leg of our journey to Vermont.  Kevin climbed in the truck and all he got was "click-click".  The truck has some extra coverage, but we do not know if it will be covered.  We did get it started by hooking up the two batteries in his truck to my car and Jon's truck, but the check engine light stayed on.  We were told we needed to get it checked before going on, so we were fortunate enough to find a place to have it serviced first thing in the morning.  Lets hope it is a quick, inexpensive fix and that we will be on the road by 10:00.
This will affect the number of quilt shops I get to tour because we do have a time table of sorts.  We are trying to be in Waterford, MI. by Friday so that we can spend a few days with my sister and her family.  Family is still more important than fabric, so I will give up a few stops if needed.
